Oh without a doubt. I think that helped the Falcons a few years back and the exposure of being avg comes through even though they have a better QB.Yeah, as we know...the more success you have on the field, the more challenging it gets to sustain it....FA, Draft, Waiver Wire.. all designed with the intent to help the weaker teams the most.
When CLE starts picking in the late teens to the 20s for 3 or 4 yr in a row, and contract renewals come along for a lot of those high draft picks...they have about a 3 yr window to max out on their past failures (benefits of being a losing team) before things get a lot harder.
The positive for Cleveland is the fact they have Mayfield but their WR core will need to be upgraded because Landry is good but not the #1 and Perriman is still a gamble. The lower picks will hurt they ability to get the top DB's, WR's, DT's.
