If they hold onto Miller and Betances they'll have the best pen in the game.

They gave up nothing

Chapman is a potential FA

and could face suspension

Seems worth the shot. I know nothing about these prospects so I have no idea if they were promising or not

Wow. That would give them the TWO best lefty relievers in the game.

I mean, Castro and Chapman for almost nothing at all

Team still has a long way to go, but they havent traded anyone that pisses me off yet

Unless they're setting up for another move.

Jon Heyman thinks not, and Chapman would definitely be the closer

I'm listening to the interview as well. Right now they'd be silly to make a move without knowing Chapman's status. But if he's cleared I can see them packaging Gardner and Miller.

MLB reporting the Yankees and Marlins discussing Joe Fernandez, with Gardner and Andrew Miller definitely included

I like the Castro move a lot. Reasonable money and he's shown he can be a force when he gives a shit.

Yup. I would guess that Miller is going to get moved now. Aroldis isn't some 7th inning guy.

I hope they keep all 3. Betances can give you 100 innings so he can come into the game in the 6th and pitch into the 7th.

They would need to part with their best prospects in a deal like that. The Marlins aren't the kind of team to take on $24m/year that would be coming to Gardner and Miller.

Jose Fernandez? I can't see the Marlins giving up a 23 year old that doesn't hit free agency until 2019 and picking up 20 mil in salary in Gardner and Miller. But weirder things have happened

We're all saying the same things to every proposed deal. Nice to be talking to some folks who actually know the sport

Plus he's a righty and God knows the Yanks have way too many left handed batters. Teams were pulling lefties out of double A to face them last year after Tex got hurt

The thing about the Marlins is that they are looking for players to win now, this isnt their 200th rebuild, so gardner and Miller do make some sense.......But no doubt it will take a big time prospect at least
