I'd say 80% of the old ESPN forum & this one disliked Josh Freeman from day 1, but I vaguely remember a couple of people defending him pretty consistently. Who was that?

Question: would you want to possibly bring him in as a backup if he got cut? Or are you now convinced he's no good?

I was one of the ones to speak up against his leadership qualities. He's definitely lacking in that department IMO. However I would consider bringing him in as a backup for the right price.

I'm indifferent about Freeman overall and was not part of that debate for him....

I think he and TB Coach(can't spell his last name eff it lol) were just not getting along...

I think Jax should make a play for him as a starter...in the offseason thus guranteeing Clowney selection...

would I want him as a backup? I dont know... does Freeman qualify as a run of the mill type vet? he has the years obviously... I would want him over McCoy though but that list could be endless lol...

Cleveland's offense would be a better fit for Freeman although I doubt they will go after him.. Not with the crop of QB's that are projected to be available in the draft

I would think Cleveland would give Hoyer a chance but TBH I didn't even think of them for Freeman... Jax is just bad and Gabbert is so awful lol

Hoyer is not starter material... If he was, then he should have been the starter since week 1... He is more of a place holder for the season...

I always have an always will be a Freeman supporter. The guy will be a starter for a different team next year and in a much better position to succeed, this new coaching staff wanted to bring in their own guy, this was quite obvious.

I have admitted in the past the Freeman lacks leadership qualities but there are tons of starting QB's out there who aren't the greatest leaders. He needs to improve his decision making and consistency but he has the physical tools to be the next Big Ben and I have always compared the two.

Freeman declines to talk to media | ProFootballTalk

Regardless of the reason or the identify of the person(s) who made the decision, every player must be available twice per week to the media — once during the week and once after each game. Other players have tried to avoid talking to the media, and the league routinely has explained that they’ll either comply or be fined.

I'd take him in a heartbeat as a backup QB.

Freeman >>> McCoy.

Twat?? Freeman is so fucking bad. I mean like really, really terrible.

Who would trade for Freeman when he's guaranteed 8 million for the season?

Answer: nobody.

And they're not going to cut him before the offseason because his salary is guaranteed.

He'll end up a career back up, nothing more or less. A lot of worse back ups in the league, but he'll never be a starter.

Speaking of busts who might get cut this offseason...

Sam Bradford's salary is like 12+ million next year. What about him as a backup?

Personally, I'm hoping for Mark Sanchez.

If someone can repair his confidence, maybe he can become a good QB again. He's just a mess right now.
