thats the toughest spot on the team to fill

the 3rd line center job (not that it was that hard to improve on considering the downfall rob nieds has taken) is most likely going to josefson who is a small risk but he's a 1st round pick so we'll see how the kid does...

but martins spot is 'filled' by tallinder. i say filled because he'll be as good defensively with decent puck movement. 30 points isn't quite martins level. but its relatively close and we didn't really have martin all that much last year because of his arm, and andy green really kind of took his job. you will most likely see corrente and urbom take the remaining spot on d... both are very balanced in that they can move the puck and play d. if i had to pick i'd say its gonna be urbom. he's only 19 but he's got more upside to him than corrente. not quite as nasty, but responsible, physical, GIGANTIC, and suprisingly agile with above average puck movement. so compared to recent year i think the OVERALL puck movement could be better, as opposed to the past 2 or 3 years, where you've seen the devils really just have martin as their puck mover, then green emerged when martin was out all of last year.
this year greene is capable of 35-40 points, tallinder in the 30 range, and if its urbom i wouldn't be suprised if he hit 25-30 also being optomistic. so overall i think while it doesn't improve drastically it does improve.

well thats my thinking i got to see him live in one preseason game last year and watched the mem cup as well, he's got more upside offensively than corrente and is just as good defensively if not better. really the only thing corrente truely has on him is a very slim amount of experience and a nasty edge. but in the important areas i think urbom wins out.

not too mention lou's been all over his dong all off season even declaring him to the media as our top prospect over josefson and tedenby. thats high praise.
