On September 30th, a co-worker asked me what the deal was with the Giants and the playoffs. Were they close to making it or something? On November 2nd, the same co-worker asked me if I was going to the parade too. It was then that I realized how much of a nonsense bog this parade was going to be, and that if I wanted to go, that I needed to leave before the end of Game Four.

Just got back from watching it go by on Market near Powell. Pulled the kid from school, had him on my shoulders. It was pretty fun. But I can see how you'd maybe skip it if you didn't live so close or work so close.

Brian Wilson was probably the most fun to watch go by. He is born for this. Just working the crowd, pointing at people and nodding and making like Arsenio Hall. Awesome.

Also, one of the parade cars was a 'Don't Stop Believin' car with that song on repeat. Saw Ashkon on it, waving at everyone. Not sure if Steve Perry was there too.

Cal, it was awesme but as a true Giants fan. You don't have to be there-to be there.

I just got back from the parade! That was pretty cool, saw all the guys chanted UUUUU--RIBEE!! and CODY CODY!! saw Bochy and the World Series trophy! Got a pretty good picture of Kruk and Kuip, saw Willie Mays and McCovey too!! Even Gavin Newsom and his hair were there!

But yeah you don't have to have been there to be a hardcore fan, actually seemed like a bunch of bandwagon fans for the most part, but still the chants got going pretty good, the people around me didn't know who half the guys were...

And now I am at work. What a letdown. Oh yeah I'm at work gotta go.

No Zito.

I think Zito earned a lot of respect with how he acted to his placement on the team. I would have liked to have heard him get some cheers for that...
