Ok maybe I'm confused but
I have read that Wilson moved his firearm to the backseat not brandished it
While it might produce the same "legal" issue it is much different than pointing it at someone.
I'm not agreeing with wilsons action just pointing out what I have read.
I want to read the actual police report for clarity
With that said the only time you " pull" a firearm is to use it to protect yourself with DEADLY FORCE from possible imminent demise.
No other way ever

I'm all for due process.

The "Wilson was moving the gun to the back seat" story rings a little hollow to me. Seems too convenient. After all, who, in the middle of an argument with strangers, says "Oh, that's right, I forgot to move my rifle from the front seat to the back. Let me take it out of the car and move it in front of these people with whom I am having a dispute with!"?

At least that's how I take it at face value. Pure boneheaded move having a gun anywhere near that situation, in any case.

Today Toby Shook Wilsons attorney released a statement that everything is BS and his client is totally innocent.
Shook is a X-prosecutor for Dallas County. So at least Wilson has competent Legal counsel.
This is going to come down to he said she said

Well that depends on if your licensed etc lots of moving parts in this. If Wilson has a concealed carry license that changes a whole bunch of things. And even if not securing a Firearm is not a crime. I have 1 all the time and have for over 30 years no different to me than carrying my phone, wallet or car keys. 99% of the time nobody knows just saying
I will wait for the facts to come out on this.
Until then speculation is just that speculation
