former pessimistic homer
Minus 3.5, including minus 3.6 passing.....we have to replace this bum.....
Rey (and others) have been right about this dude all along.
I never expected he would be top 5, but I did think he'd improve between his first and third years. His supporting cast has improved and he's regressed. Sad to watch.
Gruden doesn't get enough out of his offense either..... Look what Norv Turner did yesterday with a very limited cast of players.
He doesn't help his line at all....absolutely no pocket awareness, and is afraid to make anything but the simplest throws......I have tried to be patient and wait for him to improve, but I'm too old to put up with him for another 4-5 years.... we have talent, and I'm running out of time....
They seem oblivious to the fact he sucks. He's getting WORSE, too.......
He's getting 'worse' because other teams know and have identified his limitations more than our own coaching staff. You don't think other teams in the league know he's not going to beat us with any pro caliber passes. A simple zone D completely takes our receivers out of the game, because Dalton is afraid to try to put the ball in a tight window. He'll step around in the pocket and take a sack or sail it out of bounds before he steps up and makes a high risk, high reward pass down field
The whole team doesn't suck. Dalton sucks which brings the entire offense down. The line was fantastic, Bernard was good as always, the defense played well, especially missing 3 players and Burfict getting hurt. I'll agree Gresham hasn't been great. Dalton is the weak link on this team. We upgrade him, the team is an elite team.
He has very little talent and now he has no confidence. Zero swagger which is something that is not brought up but a QB needs to have. So yeah, Dalton is awful.
