Not that I have heard of and not any in AAA. I think Solak best shot is at 2B

No, he hasn't ever started at 3B or SS. He did appear in one game at 3B for 4 innings, but he didn't start the game there. It was probably an emergency type situation.

Mostly 2B with some OF play.

I agree. I would like to see Eli White get some time at SS up with the big team and hell maybe even Jung at 3B for a short time. way too early on Jung but still

I wonder how Santana would be at 1B if he worked on it this offseason and again in ST next year. He is very inexperienced so far, so it may be premature to say he is regressing.

Ok but he is a good athlete so yes he could learn. But was thinking that if CF and 1B were open, I would rather have Gallo at 1B and Santana in CF.
Not saying I recommend this. Just thought it curious that IKF was sent down so PT at 3B may open a bit

I don't think they want Joey back in the infield.

We used to think they would try Choo at 1B, but I guess that won't happen.

We drafted two 3B very high in the draft, and one of our best prospects, Sherten Apostel, also plays 3B so one of them may man 1B up here in a couple of years.

Jonathan Hernandez moved to Rangers bullpen

Woodward said the Rangers could use Hernandez in a starting role in September and let him pitch 2-3 innings as an extended opener.

“See how many pitches he can maintain it,” Woodward said. “If it starts to go south, we can replace him with somebody else. I don’t want to give up hope on [starting] because I’d really like for him to be a starter in the future. His stuff is so good. He has amazing stuff.”

Hernandez is the No. 12 ranked prospectin the Rangers’ farm system, according to MLB Pipeline. He has a sinking fastball that hits 95-98 miles per hour with a slider that was ranked as the best breaking pitch in the Carolina League last season. Now he’s in the Major Leagues.

“It has been unreal the past few days,” Hernandez said. “It’s hard to believe I am here. This is a dream come true.”

Bringing him back in Sept.would impact how we use the other guys. Could make a major difference who plays/goes. If I had my rathers, Solak would be spending time at 2b and Odor would be playing in OF. Now, that is if Guz is back in Sept. and hitting.
