Maybe another hit by Solak will do just that.

Think he would have come through but we didnt need him to. Wild pitches, passed balls and Hunter got it done

Got home to see the end. Hunter as usual in the mix of everything when he gets to play. Saw Solak had another great night but don't forget about some people's whipping boy Willie Calhoun. The kid can hit. He will get better in the OF. When you consider what he has been thru this year being demoted a couple of times he has not seemed to let the pressure of failing and being demoted again get to him. Like that.

I just think with some of the call up players in the past most of us are guarded. I think out of all the position players that have come up this year Solak may just have the skills we need from his position.

When I say guarded I mean a few if not some of us were hoping Profar and a few others panned out over the past 7 years. When they did not by poor play or not getting enough play time.

Perhaps Woodward had some say in going after the young talent we gained in the trade deadline deals this year. If so we may be getting players Woodward wants to get a good look at and he will give them the play time.

I follow the Mets to some degree growing up in NY and having a nephew who writes pieces on them. I think they beat us. May be wrong. Seems Rays do a lot of extra innings.

Well that is my subjective opinion in which @jta4437 will swoop in and give us the facts. :)

I don’t even care if they put solak at DH. I want to see the guy get AB’s

I am talking in just 9 innings of work. In the night before it was really late and I noticed that the West coast games were in the 8th inning.

You have to appreciate the fact that they have played him at 2b and Odor has been at DH one night and on the bench the next.

I know it’s very early returns, but I like the kids we picked up from TB.

Solak, gibault, and Burke have all played well. It was smart of our front office to take advantage of the inevitable roster crunch and glut of talent the rays have.

I think solak was the 10th or 11th middle infielder “ in line” in the rays system. Totally crazy.

I am glad we will miss Giolito in the White Sox series.
