Hitzges had an interesting take on Mike Minor this morning. He wondered why Minor is still starting since it seems we've gone full blown into letting the youngsters audtion.

His take is, 'he's already pitched as many innings this year as last. So going into the off season he's either going to be traded or extended. In either case, protect this asset.'
His innings increased by 80 last year compared to 2017. I thought that would have an affect on him, but it didn't. I guess they want to ramp him up this year by at least 25 or 30 so they can get even more from him next year when they go to the WS.

Yeah, Norm can tell Minor he will sit out the rest of the season. A ballplayer worth his salt is not going to go for that.

That is gonna be the tough part. Not sure Minor would appreciate it but it could be in his best interest

That's what I was thinking. He would complain more than he did last month.

WS will only be possible if he not only pitches but drives in 5 runs per game because aside from the season before the AS break this team isn't scoring enough runs to win many games next year.

We both know that, but I am not sure the front office does. lol

Unless Odor is involved in a legitimate circumstance, I suggest we all move on. Most conversation about him is old and in most cases a waste of energy. I'm trying hard to ignore most conversations concerning him . Hope I get a positive support from you and the board.
I was actually looking forward to some more Stormtrooper references.

I am glad that they managed to pull off Burke, Solak and Allard because I am not sure what they are thinking most of the time.

I thought I might have gotten more support on my post in reference to Odor about JD and the 27 hookers.......

I kinda wouldn't mind if they picked up a FA or two with the sole purpose of flipping them next July since they have been making good trades. What if we found 3 more guys like Solak, Burke and Allard? I really wish they would consider moving Minor in the offseason for the same reason.

Ranger pitching has done a good job controlling Trout this series. Imagine that!

I know it's early but I like what I'm seeing from Solak. Odor's position really looks in danger
