Good posts Yu Lee. Don't listen to Flaming, because he will twist data around to fit his arguement as well, it will just be the opposite of a positive when concerning Dalton. However, if you mention Palmer, he will have his head so far up Palmer's ass you will not know where Palmer begins and Flaming ends.

No matter what stat you throw out, Flaming will reject it regarding Dalton, because his fail safe to make sure he never losses an Andy Dalton debate, is go with the....until he can start hitting a more accurate deep ball, until he can step up in the pocket to avoid a rush, until he can stop causing so many sacks on his own due to hanging on to the ball too long, until yaddie yaddie yaddie. He will bring up the intangibles all day long that is based on observation and opinion rather than cold hard facts, because the numbers actually refute most his arguement, he just will not agree with it.

Of course, I am in the camp, Dalton needs to improve against better teams and defenses, which means taking that next step in the playoffs. Dalton had a decent playoff game last year, not great, but decent. It also did not help that Gruden completely took Green out of the 1st half game plan. Who knows what we could have done if we weren't using Green as a decoy the whole 1st half.

One over throw in that game that cost us a TD and that is all anyone can remember. Most people remember, but never mention Greshams 5 dropped passes and 3 dropped 3rd down conversions. Plus, if I remember correctly, the defense gave up a crap ton of rushing yards to Foster and over 400 yards of offense to Texans and almost 40 minutes of ball control. Granted, Andy didn't do so well until Green was allowed to catch a ball, who had 5 catches and 80 yards alone in the second half. But when you have half the time the opposing QB has to score points, you are behind the 8 ball. We were also 0-9 on 3rd down, with 3 dropped passes or soemthing like that from Gresham on 3rd down, and JJ Watt harrassing the hell out Dalton.

Dalton needed to improve, but he also needed Green the entire game not half of it, and he needed the defense to get him the damn ball back once in a while instead of letting the Texans hold on to it for nearly 40 minutes.
