there is plenty of money for KC.
We have the money to keep both WR's. Their is no reason to cut Garcon. No reason to invest a high draft pick in a WR. With Jackson back Garcon is been playing better. IF we stick with these two their should be no problem.
The only way we will be better as a team if we cut Garcon is if we land Jeffery in FA. If Garcon refuses to renegotiate I would not cut him. Garcon will make 7.6 mil next season. After seeing what Crabtree got I would keep him. Their is no need to break up the nucleus of Jax, Garcon, Reed, and KC. We will have plenty of money next year even after the KC contract.
The money we save on Garçon can be used many other places.
You invest a high draft pick on a WR if he is BPA because it gives the pick the best chance of being an impact player.
The hit rate has improved, years ago the first round bust list for WRs was littered with names like David Terrell, Peter Warrick, Desmond Howward etc. But to claim a WR in the first is the best chance at getting an impact player is something I don't agree with. I do remember one of the experts saying the highest miss rate is late first round DL as teams tend to reach.
Actually it is true that a first round WR has a better chance of being a better player than a second...etc.
That isn't what I was referring to though. I was simply saying you take the guy with the highest grade on your board because he has a better chance of being a good player than a guy further down.
