He misses some tackles but did improve from 22% missed tackles as a Frosh down to 14% missed tackles as a Soph. That's still high, imo but his coverage skills are much better than Richie Grant. The latter has much better tackling skills over the former.

Hypothetical only. Wouldn't be mad 1 bit if this comes to fruition outside of where's the LB. @Stomp is correct in that you've got to fix the iDL if you expect to improve the LB corps

Day 2 mock draft: Detroit Lions move back, improves on both sides of the ball - Pride Of Detroit

[TRADE] Round 2, Pick 46: S Jevon Holland

Trade details:
Detroit receives picks 46 and 122
New England receives pick 41

Round 3, Pick 72: WR D’Wayne Eskridge

Round 3, Pick 101: IDL Jay Tufele

I would not mind this but I dont think Tufele lasts to 101 with how weak the IDL prospects are. You know Tufele is my boy so I hope I am wrong. Well right after Kwity. Go Rhody!!

a playmaker

DeVonta Smith
He is the best route runner IMO. I just didnt like his chances of staying healthy. His legs look like bread sticks. Only a matter of time before an NFL safety goes low and snaps one.

Fiutak's looks good. Not sure what Kay is smoking with 2 more OL. The SI one is OK too.

Safeties, in the SEC not to mention Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, had 4 years to do that. imo
Didn't happen though.
but can't deny it always a possibility

still love the Sewell pick

Fiutak's looks good

not a fan of Nasirildeen 1 bit.

stiff hips, ankles and is more box safety against the run. Long limbed but coverage issues in a big way, imo. He got roasted at the Senior Bowl and showed his wears.

but that's just me and my opinion

I would rather give op an extra pick to get JOK or even Moehrig than most of these mocks

and I don't really want to lose a pick but..... quality over quantity is where I'm at with those two only

To be fair, they both picked WR's that their respective QB's have played with in the past. You have to think Miami asked Tua about Waddle and Devonta, Burrow is widely reported to have been asking for Chase.

Its strange how very few “experts” made these connections.

The Waddle one still surprised me. When he was asked if he preferred Tua or Mac, he said Mac Jones instantly. I did not seem to be thrilled to be going to the Dolphins.

Wow I missed that. That’s wild. I was in shock. I didn’t have Waddle coming off the board before Detroit picked. He was one of the guys I was afraid they might take at 7.

Everytime I saw Sewell mocked to the Lions it felt like a jab, no way was he going to go there. Nobody is a bigger fan of the Dolphins pick than me.
