So you see us picking in the top 10 next season?

Not necessarily. But I want to, even if it's not to target a qb. We should consider taking an elite player in the top 10. We can give our two 3rd round picks, with our 1st round pick. Maybe a little more to really make it happen.

I'd even trade both of our 3rd round picks and our 1st round pick in 2013 to move high enough to draft someone like Matt Barkley. If that's not enough, I'd give our 1st in 2014. If Tyler Bray goes # 1 overall, I wouldn't mind settling for Barkley with the # 2 pick

unfortunately, Washington already set the tone for a #2 QB overall. i wouldn't spend that kind of ransom.

...The San Francisco 49ers Select, David Amerson, Cornerback, Out of N.C. State University!!

Wouldn't those be sweet words to hear?

I'm definitely not as high on Barkley as you are at this point Bingo. I might change my mind, but at this point I don't see him being much better than Alex Smith (if at all).

Sick, by the end of 2012, you will be a big time Barkley advocate. His ball placement is superb. I love his mechanics, great feet, very mobile in the pocket, can throw on the run (either side), he posses an uncanny skill in letting routes develop - going through his progressions, and the guy doesn't get rattled - A+ competitor (see the game against Andrew Luck last year). His field vision is as good as most NFL pros are at now.

The guy is 6"2 and weighs 230lbs. So he has more than enough bulk (a la Andrew Luck) to be able to take on NFL hits on a consistent basis. He scrambles ONLY when he has to. I know you're going to love him when it's all said and done with.

It's super early, but I'm not extremely excited about any prospects in this next draft like I was about AJ Green, Patrick Peterson, Aldon Smith, Matt Kalil & Luck.

I'm gonna keep a close eye on the giant Kwame Geathers. NT could be a need next year.

No QB for a while is gonna be on Luck's level as a prospect, but there are other guys who can be considered elite this time around next year. Some of my favorites are:

Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia
Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
LaMarcus Joyner, S, Florida St.
Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
William Gholston, DE, Michigan St.
Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina

That said, with the 32nd overall pick, the San Francisco 49ers select one of:

Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall

Kwame Geathers, NT, Georgia

What do you think about him Clyde? Sometimes he plays like he's Champ Bailey at his prime, and other days he plays like Mike Rumph on his off days? It may be due to lack of experience but I like him a lot. Of course this could all change by December this year.

He's probably my favorite Alabama corner since I've been watching college football. I think he's more explosive and has much more fluid hips than Dre Kirkpatrick. He's a little inconsistent right now but I expect him to have a huge year.

Keenan Allen is a beast - he's a legitimate first round talent despite him not being on my list of top 32. I still would like to see a bit more from him. He gets more opportunities to make plays than most other receivers because his brother is the one passing him the ball. lol. That's probably me nitpicking when looking at his production, but still, it makes me wonder...

The safety class and the OT class should be DEEP next year, OMG! QB class should be fairly good too.

Marcus Lattimore is my favorite RB prospect to come out since Adrian Peterson. I was a really big Chris Johnson fan when they came out, but i like Lattimore a lot. He's great after contact and the total package at RB IMO.

Justin Hunter is a dream scenario, but i doubt that happens. Right now my top 5 is...

Marcus Lattimore
Justin Hunter
David Amerson
Sean Montgomery
Matt Barkley

On a side note i think Jarvis Moss is being way too over hyped.

Realistically speaking the 49ers select TJ McDonald. Not my choice, but a more likely scenario IMO.

I like your list a lot, #1. I think Lattimore is a better back than Trent Richardson, but I don't think he's the best back since AP. I still think DMac was the best RB to come out since AP. Lattimore lacks top end speed. That's the only flaw in his game IMO.

Also, I like Marquess Wilson better than Hunter, though Hunter is a fanstastic NFL prospect himself.

I agree with this. I always like Latti-MORE than Richardson, but Lattimore's knee inury is the big issue.

Speaking of injury riddled players what does everyone think of Seantrel Henderson? What a disappointment he's been in college football! But it's because he hasn't been able to stay healthy (and he was also suspended). Seems like some of the top high school recruits end up disappointing maybe because they feel like they've made it from day 1 & don't work as hard...

That said, Henderson is a rare specimen, and if he applies himself he could be a dominant player.

Same could be said of D.J. Fluker. It'll be interesting to see how these guys play this up coming year. They could play themselves into top-10 picks, or they can fall into the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Just thought of something, is there a 3-4 base defense that plays its home games indoors???

I think this what the colts are trying to do. random yes, immaterial, no.

Dallas is kind of sort of an indoor team.
