How to apply and maintain pressure on your opponents position....................

#1
I heard Nakamura say he felt good over his lost game against Carlsen because he was able to keep the pressure on this time around.

I always thought "making threats" and "pressuring the opponent" were the same thing. But I'm not so sure anymore.
I'm starting to think maybe pressure is more about restricting a piece or pawn's mobility, whereas threat is about the material itself. Is it like this - Pressure restricts the variations your opponent could play and hinders their best plans, but threats means they have to keep an eye over a square or a piece or else they will lose it or control of it??

keeping pressure on your opponite....will cause....a seeming............stall.....by them....whitch..will let you atttack...(at the same time...if you do NOT...
they ..WILL..attack you.....for sure..)

that is the basic...but..you have to push through..your attack....as well.......

Goddric Mar 16, 2014 #2 Threat is related with gaining material while pressure means some kind of positional advantage that forces one of the 2 players to defend or take defensive measures. I will give you a simple example:

What exactly is pressure? - Chess Forums

a taking a chess..class.........lol

well....enough...on the side........we will get to who...well be at tacoma.........that we hope...cuz i is the hardest..one to tell and usually .....
the one with the most free agents...........
cuz the end..of the minors..can be considered......AA even though...AAA is half 40 man 1/3 to 1/2..free agents..(usually on minors contract)

and 1/4..or under..are the minor league guy drafted by the team..or traded for by the team..after 4 years..by collage.draftees..and 6 years by international
and high school draftees

that said..we will get to ...our best guess...at tacoma......

we will start with ..guys we expect to be at tacoma ..next year..then the left ..overs will prob not be..that is prob..we dont know

i start with rotation....
.Justin Dunn 5
Roenis Elías...L/L..coming off tommy john.....

these are the first up guys for rotation...in a playoff push..........
although gilbert is up..to mlb...murphy , kerr, brash and McKinney..are.the real connection to the mariners minor leagues..in a long time....gilbert was the spear head..

this is good...and we expect matt brash ...to be next..
Matt Brash 47
Ray Kerr 45....L/L
all these guys are..mariners....lolol..finnally..although..elias..has been away...we welcome him back......and dunn traded for in the cano trade...amazing how many mets go else where...and still are in the majors....

anyway..that is prob..rotation....but you must consider...flex...

and flex is this.....if a guy cant do the rotation...then..maybe........... he can bring some of his best stuff in from the bull pen ..long enough for at least one inning..to 3 innings...that s basic...so..a lot more ...after that.......idea..

anyway that is it for a guess on next years rotation............

unfortunately....these guys ...may be trade material....maybe....that..is yet to be ..seen........

brash has ben put on the 40 man..and will prob stay there..........
tacoma bull pen........

Andrés Muñoz 54..(cl )..40 man....yes
Yohan Ramirez 55..........40 man...yes

Moises Gomez
30......will prob be put on the 40 man
Joey Gerber 59.......40 man..yes
Aaron Fletcher 25...L/L..40 man..yes
Ryan Weber 14....40 man..yesR/R6' 1"17508/12/1990ActiveYes
while weber...has been around the league....as a starter.......it is time to see...what he can do....out of the pen...or they will prob........ just let him go......

this is where the mariners bull pen ...ends...and the tacoma bull pen starts..

Can Embracing Negative Emotions Make You Happier?

Instagram post by AmandaHalinaFilipowicz • Jan 3, 2016 at 2:13am UTC

"Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?" - Oddball…

More

Negative Emotions vs. Positive Emotions

When we talk about so-called negative emotions, it's important to remember that these emotions, in and of themselves, aren't negative as in "bad." It is more than they are in the realm of negativity as opposed to positivity.2

Emotions aren't necessarily good or bad, they are just states and signals that allow us to pay more attention to the events that create them. This can either motivate us to create more of a certain experience or less, for example.

Unlike some emotions, negative emotions not always pleasant to experience. But, like most emotions, they exist for a reason and can actually be quite useful to feel.

How Do Negative Emotions Affect Us?

Anger, fear, resentment, frustration, and anxiety are negative emotional states that many people experience regularly but try to avoid. And this is understandable—they are designed to make us uncomfortable.

Negative Emotions Can Cause Stress

These negative emotional states can create extra stress in your body and your mind. This is uncomfortable but also can lead to health issues if the stress becomes chronic or overwhelming.3

Nobody likes to feel uncomfortable, so it is natural to want to escape these feelings, and the dangers of unmanaged stress are real. However, there is a feeling that people sometimes have that these emotions will last forever or that the feelings themselves are the problem.

pinterest takes over my computer...i cant allow...that..but the link is there
