So an interesting question came up this morning on Good Morning Football. If you could go back and change one play in a Super Bowl that would rewrite history, what one would it be.
Some of the answers given on there for the poll or add one of your own.
Kyle Brandt mentioned the David Tyree catch based on just being sick of the 72 Dolphins crap every year about the perfect season. Have to agree with him on what a bunch of douchebags the 72 Fins are.
But for me, it was the Santonio Holmes catch so Larry Fitz has a ring.

Montana to Taylor for a TD with a minute to go against the Bengals in SB 23.

I'd give the Bills a win.

Or change something from SB III. Like a successful on side kick from Baltimore to start the game. So old people wouldn't bother trying to tell me Joe Willy was great.

Tyree catch for sure for me.

What's crazy about the 72 Phins bullshit is that they have it set for the rest of the history of the NFL that for any team to "tie" them, that team will need to actually significantly beat them. It will take 19-0 to "tie" 17-0. Fuck, the Pats already bested 17-0.

....and for the inevitable they-could-only-play-the-season-on-the-schedule people, suppose during an 8 game strike season, a team went unbeaten. Would that be equal to 17-0?

If the Phins had to play two more games, it's extremely likely that they would have lost one of them.

Are Patriots fans picking anything besides the Tyree catch? I went with the Bills
Yeah, looking back on that one, it's hard not to feel a little bad for Scott Norwood and the Bills. Especially with what happened the next 3 years.

I was in Seattle a couple of years after that SB and was commiserating in the bars with Seahawks fans over the hosing they took.

In his defense, it wasn't a chip shot.

I can't imagine how badly Dee Ford has to feel over that kind of simple mistake he made....tho it wasn't the SB I understand.

Mixed emotions on that one, allowed fucking Cowher a SB win but it was almost worth it to see Fats Homlgren almost have a clanger....

Ruling out all of the SB blowouts, any game within a 1 score win would have such a play, or plays.

Impossible to pick just 1.
