The 27 year old RHP from PIT walks more than half the number of guys he strikes out. Oh, great!

I think it is a good signing. It is a minor league contract. He gets a lot of ground ball outs. He does not strike out a lot of hitters and his walk rate is 3.2 per 9 innngs. He can pitch up to two innings at a time in relief. He can be useful in early to middle innings when our starter gets knocked out early.
