That was a class speech by Kraft and I think it was mostly sincere. I do think he struck a deal not to pursue it further if they would drop Brady's suspension from 4 to 1 or 2.

Brady will receive zero suspension as Goodell will say there was insuffiecent evidence and Troy Vincent didn't have the authority to give out that punishment uner the CBA.
Pats accept responisbility for two knucklehead employees. Maybe even one draft pick is thrown out or lessened?
Everyone claims a victory.

Correct, and Brady's appeal only covers his 4 game suspension. If you question if a backdoor deal was made, maybe question then if the NFL originally agreed to a two game suspension knowing Brady would appeal. So make it a 4 game suspension then reduce to two games on appeal. Makes as much sense as this backdoor deal no one knows anything about.
