The bottom line is the punishment was meted out based on mostly circumstantial evidence. i.e. it looks like there is something wrong here. The NFL is within it rights to punish based on this criteria per the agreement with the players' union. No point in fighting a fight you can't win so might as well take the high road.
Kraft did the right thing.
