I think it's close, and if you go by peak years, it's definitely Murphy. But outside of 5 seasons, Murphy was very pedestrian. He had 10 seasons with a WAR under 2 (granted a lot of those seasons were with few PA's). Justice had a better OPS, wOBA, and wRC+. I think it's very close. I might give it to Murphy because of peak years on second thought. I think I just have it in for him because a lot of people want him in the HOF
Murphy was a very good defender in his prime also. Back to back MVP's too.

Surprised you never heard of Bedrosian. He spent a few years in Philly.

Given imperfect defense statistics, he really wasn't. And I'm young and gettin' it. I was still fucking Uma Thurman in my last life while Bedrosian was pitching (I'm Hindu)

Smoltz started more games than he came in for relief, so for my list, he's a SP

Either way I think glavine is better, plus he is a lefty. Wouldn't you want 2 lefties in your rotation??

(I think) Smoltz is better, and it's not very close. And no, I don't really care how many lefties are in my rotation

I prefer the Crime Dog at 1b over Adcock.

Did mcgriff spend five years in Atlanta?

Even if he did Adcock was better
I think Mcgriff only played about half a season the year he got traded to Atlanta. He was there for 5 years if you count the first partial season.

Fred hit a big late inning homer that night he arrived in Atlanta.... following the press-box catching fire in BP.

Good times.

Thoughts on the big upset- David Justice over Dale Murphy?

The fact that dale isn't on the roster is enough for me to ignore your efforts. Clearly going after shock value.
