Did you honestly just say you don't think Calvin makes the whole offense better? You can't possibly mean that.

Of course I mean it, who has he made better? Who's come into this offense since Calvin showed up and shined? Anyone? Every fucking offensive player we put out there with him sucks. Titus, Broyles, Bush etc...

Lol. A DT is getting credit for the Lions turn-around? Man, I love Suh but this is too much. Suh better than Megatron? Yeah right. Lions are nothing without CJ and he is the most feared offensive player in the league.

The Lions are pretty much nothing even with him when then go winless in the last 8 games of 2012, 1 win 6 losses in the last 7 games of 2013. Added Bush to help out the offense and Quin for the back 4. Sure, make the remark that they were 0-16 in 2008 or would have a worse record without him, that's up for debate.

I can say this much about CJ, he has cap hits that will absolutely kill this team for the next (3) years.
2014...... cap hit..... 13.058 mil
2015...... cap hit..... 20.558 mil
2016...... cap hit..... 24.008 mil
2017...... cap hit..... 21.358 mil or cut him for 4.857 mil

So as much as everyone talks about the Greatest WR ever just remember that when this team can't go into FA in 2015 or 2016 after maybe making the playoffs and Dumb and Dumber don't have the money. OH WAIT, They'll extend the Greatest WR ever for another 3 years. There is not one player worthy of 20 mil per year.

IMO, The Lions had better "BE PLAYING IN THE SUPERBOWL IN 2015 AND 2016"...

A GM could do ALOT with the amount that CJ gets (Cap Hits)

Good post. Plus, Suh will be a Lion a lot longer than Calvin will from this point forward.

Imagine how bad Detroit's running game would be without Calvin Johnson making opposing teams move their safeties 20 yards off the line of scrimmage. Imagine how much Stafford would suffer if you take Calvin off the team, as no other receiver can't get any separation, even though they face man coverage every game BECAUSE of Calvin.

This past year -- Reggie Bush had the most all-purpose yards of his career with over 1500 yards from the line of scrimmage. It isn't Calvin's fault the guy fumbles and drops passes. Joique Bell put up 1200 yards from the line of scrimmage as an undrafted FA. Stafford had a season in 2012 that only 4 QBs in the history of the NFL have ever had (5000 yards and 40 tds).

How can you say Calvin hasn't made the offense and everyone on it better? Go watch what our offense did when Calvin was out this year. We were ATROCIOUS. We couldn't run or pass the ball.

Detroit's offense over the last 3 years has ranked 5th, 3rd and 6th in the NFL. Over that time -- Detroit has one winning season. Is it the offense or the defense that is the problem for the Lions?

Did you forget what the Saints did to the Lions defense in the 2012 playoffs? I believe they had like 600 yards of offense and were forced to punt zero times. The sad part is -- the defense was even worse the week before against GB. Matt Flynn should donate half the money he made to the Lions defense, because he made millions by setting GB records for passing in his one start of the year against Detroit.

I do have to say I enjoyed that Suh highlight video and it just makes me think even more how I would hate to see him in another jersey.

I believe Suh graduated with a Civil Engineering degree. He's smart enough to make his own decisions and savvy enough to get a front man to be his foil. Jay Z's agency can't afford to screw the pooch a second time, and I doubt Suh has any qualms about firing this agency, too, if he suspects they're incompetent.

I would not call Roosevelt and Barnes incompetent. They have been doing this for awhile and have had plenty of clients.

As for Suh's degree…all the smarts in the world don't mean shit when a person lacks common sense. I would think Roc Naion would like to see Suh in a media center for endorsements. The peripherial things about Jay Z doing sports contracts bothers me.

Jay Z is merely lending/using his name, like he needs another 1/2 a billion dollars. Sports Agents are primarily Lawyers. Common Sense, that term is misused so often. The word common means shared by or belonging to all. We all know that is not this case in the world we live in, nor has it ever been the case.

I definitely agree with your comment regarding Roosevelt/Barnes as they both are pretty well respected throughout the sports agents industry.

MMM.... had no idea who his original agents were. Nor did I call them incompetent. To do that, my last sentence would have ended with ",also." as a way of INCLUDING the previous agency as being the same as the new agency.

As to Suh's motives for changing agents, maybe the association with Roc Nation makes him feel better? All agents are paid the same rate per NFL rules. Perhaps this makes agents seem more of a commodity to him. Or maybe, he thinks that Roc Nation fits his image better. Who knows? As long as he's writing the check, Suh may as well enjoy it.

The lions have nothing to do with it. The get's more endorsement and more opportunity with Jay Z is all.

I think you will only see an explosion if the price is ridiculous.

Let's not pretend there are people here that want Suh gone because of the talent, you know that's not the case. Money is the issue here not the ability or talent of Suh.

Good post muzzer, I think pretty much everyone agrees here, for a fair price we want him extended.

Bush did what bush has always done, and for those other two, they are injured and or a headcase. CJ cant teach stafford how to throw a ball nor can he teach other receivers how to catch one. CJ requires double and triple teams constantly and is still top five for MVP. Did you watch the packers game where the lions couldnt do shit against a poor, injured defense when CJ was out? CJ is the lions MVP and theres a reason for it. Have to disagree entirely here, if you believe Suh is the MVP of defense and deserves top dollar than theres no way in hell CJ doesnt, he makes more of an impact and the lions are much more inept with CJ out than suh.
