And from another article titled “how to tackle”
Guess what. Eyes down. Head first. Because that’s how the human body works.

@NU_FTW keeps face palming perfect form tackles, even ones from articles about ‘safe tackling techniques.’

I guess when you have no retort...

This is keeping your eyes and head up, like that video posted above. Guess what; You’re fucking HEADBUTTING the runner helmet to helmet. Purposefully. It’s the exact OPPOSITE of what you want to do. And you morons are asking for this.

Another entitled “traditional form tackle.”
Eyes down. Head first. Because that’s what a tackle is.

here’s one from an article about practicing safer tackling. Hmmmm. Still head first and eyes down... you know, like every form tackle ever.

LOL

That tackler's head is up, dipshit. That means his eyes are also up. His head is also off to the side where it should be.

You don't lead with the crown of the helmet and eyes down. You're begging for a concussion or even worse spending the rest of your life in a wheelchair.

This thread has over 4,000 views and NOT ONE post agrees with your derp.

You are a worthless twit if you think all of those are 'head first' when they are making contact with their shoulder and their head is moved off to the side.

Leading with the crown of your helmet (head and eyes down) was always called "spearing" back in the day. It's now called "targeting".

The helmet is the hardest weapon on the football field. When using it to inflict a blow, it puts both the ball carrier and the tackler in a dangerous situation.

And it is done in every form tackle including the ones shown in the dozens of pics posted which are the same exact tackles that guys get kicked out of games for... the only difference: the runner ducks or dips or crouches etc

If the offensive player decides to dip their head at the last second the defender better stop instantly to protect the offensive player!

It’s funny: after reviewing the play from last night...

the buckeye rusher kind of went high and put his helmet at chest level. I’m saying he should go lower for safety.

You morons are saying he should keep his eyes up and go even higher which more greatly insures a helmet to helmet headButt.

you’ll literally say the dumber, more dangerous thing and keep pretending your saying something smart.

You can go at crotch/level, literally BELOW the waist, on a tackle... and if the offensive player decides to crouch or throw himself to the ground at that moment, you’ll get ejected from the game:

...but if the offensive player does NOT shift his position, it’s just a good tackle?:

It’s a terrible rule and application, and y’all keep arguing for it in general and IN THOSE cases. You’re truly stupid.

It's a terrible rule, but even if the offensive player doesn't duck as you described, it's still targeting when leading with the crown of the helmet.
