Spurs fans went NUTS with voting the last few days. I'm happy to see it paid off.

No question, he deserves to be a starter. And as much as I want to bitch about Kobe, I get it...

Curry, Thompson, Redick, Booker, Leonard and Casspi should be the participants.
I really hope they let Casspi in, he has really improved his shooting this year and definitely deserves to make it.

I don't think Kobe or Wade deserve to be all stars based off of this season, but I'm not surprised they made it.

Better than Kyrie getting voted in. He was in a week or so ago I believe. Some fan base must have voted like crazy to get Lowry or Wade in over him.

Wade was way ahead of Kyrie so the lowry fan base eliminated kyrie

I was expecting it to be Wade and Kyrie and Lowry votes came through. Butler should have started next to him, but he'll still make it.

Same shit happened last year but it wade who lost his spot due to a late run by Lowry fan boys.

But yeah Wade is my favorite player ever but he should not be starting. Butler should be

Lowrie deserved it over Kyrie no doubt about it.....I think the best players in the East so far this year are obviously LeBron #1--- but then a next tier of Paul George, Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler- and I might even put Chris Bosh in that group. Lowry is playing like an MVP candidate right now- just like last year at this point. (of course then he and the Raptors collapsed post AS game)

I think that at least one of them is a casualty of the Kobe retirement tour.

Yeah. Like I said, Kobe has earned the right to play in this exhibition. It's for the fans and they want to see him play. I have no issues. Hopefully Draymond will have an opportunity to be a starter some day.

He keeps playing like he has for the past couple of seasons and there are likely many all-star starts in his future.

JR is "only" shooting 38.3% on the year from 3 point range. He may have volume in the makes but he's not shooting it well enough to be considered.

Steph and Klay are locks because the NBA wants some star power in the contest. Leonard and Redick have the two highest percentages. Casspi is shooting 44.8% on less attempts than JR and about as many makes a game. Booker would be the only questionable one, but I added him because he brings some youth to the contest. JR is pretty down the list for me.

i gotcha....i just thought- especially considering that JR Smith is now 19th in NBA history in 3 pointers made- and has never made the contest- he should get a spot....he has played pretty darn well thus far this year- and the Cavs- unless Love is voted in- will have the best record in the conference and their only rep thus far is LeBron.....I think getting JR in would be a nice nod to the team with the best record- and a nice nod to JR himself.

Like i said- since JR was traded to the CAvs- not one guy- not even Korver etc... has hit more 3's in the ENTIRE EASTERN conference than JR- while shooting a darn good percentage...

i understand your reasoning though.

Welp, looks like Pop is coaching the West in the AS game.

Kerr and his staff, meaning Walton too, were not eligible because they coached last year. Spurs have the second best record.
