In regards to guys like Patton and Kennedy, I never have a problem in bringing in several low key veteran bullpen guys, they're often good investments, usually relatively cheap and if they're good they can be flipped for relatively large returns on investment, prospect wise. And if they don't pan out you just DFA them

AJ Alexy in triple A? Maybe the Darvish trade won’t be so bad for us after all.

Thing is, I think someone posted an analysis of one of the Gallo gets as now being the best pure hitter in our system.

I get that our system was "deep," but it sounds like comparatively speaking we got quantity and quality.

Tepid suggested that Smith and Jung would battle it out for the title of best pure hitter. If Smith can stick at SS it might make for a very good hitting infield with Crim, Foscue, Jung and Smith.

Ibanez looking better as of late. Defensively and offensively. A bit of a surprise to me

Burke is already on the 40 man, but he is not coming back here any time soon. He has pitched very poorly.

There is a logjam on the way as there will be need to add the DL people end of seasons like LeClerc and Hernandez. We are going to lose some prospects I think. Quality vs quantity argument
