Doesn't matter if it was provoked or not. There's no benefit here. The time to release the footage was after the incident when you fired him, not months and months later because your owner got his feelings hurt from a Punk interview. The best course of action for AEW is to move on. He's not with your company any more. Focus on your own product

I actually think they should have taken the high road on it at the time but if Punk is going to shit talk the owner and the company they have a right to defend themselves. It's really going to depend on the footage itself and if there's a compelling follow up. Personally I'm curious

He really didn't even talk shit. He mostly said what a lot of people have said, even those still with the company; that Tony Khan is too nice and more like a friend than being an actual boss.

I think Punk's a great promo and is great for wrestling in general. I'm a fan of him as a performer. He clearly doesn't handle his exits from companies diplomatically. Cody's much better at those.

Do you recall the last CM Punk shoot interview lead to Punk in a court room, ruining friendships, costing him millions of dollars in legal fees.
