Wrestling Event Linked To Joey Ryan Cancelled After Tony Khan Pulls AEW Talent, FITE Issues Statement

A new listing for an event called “Wrestling For Women's Charity” on March 20 is currently advertising Joey Ryan as one of the wrestlers involved. Upon further review, it would appear that Ryan used his own Bar Wrestling promotion to set up the event.

Odd PPV go home show but a pretty decent episode.

Any ideas on who Paul Wight's signing announcement is? Lots of people seem to be saying RVD or just saying its a swerve with Wight being a heel and he'll say himself. I'll go with it being a lady; either Mickie James or Tessa Blanchard. His wording of "hall of fame caliber talent" is so vague it could be anyone. Like an actual HOFer to some young person with a lot of talent

I highly HIGHLY doubt that it's Tessa.

He's really setting it up for a letdown if its not an absolute top tier guy. The phrasing he used lends itself only to people Cena, Lesnar, Punk, Angle, Okada, etc.

You wouldn't use that language for like RVD or Mick Foley (who while he is a big name, he can't do anything anymore and wouldn't warrant that kind of talk). The way he's talking, you're building fans up to thinking its a big name that will be in the ring

Sting also showed up unannounced a few months back on free TV. I can't think of a realistic legend signing that can top that one. Angle's an alltime favorite of mine but I don't see that as a game changer. He was just on WWE TV and he's no longer an active wrestler. I'd include the names you mentioned and maybe Goldberg (his last match felt like putting over a young wrestler on the way out)

Zero percent chance on a New Japan person since they’re starting up the New Japan Cup tournament.
Marty was at a NJPW Strong taping but the talent really didn’t want to be around him so he wasn’t coming back.
