AEW's women's division is really bad. Even their best, Riho (who a lot of the internet loves), is average at best. They need to start throwing cash around the second any woman wrestler from WWE or Impact gets close to free agency

The scuttlebut around the internet(s) has it that Tessa Blanchard will sign with AEW when her Impact contract expires.

Brandi made the female division a point of emphasis in their press conferences but with only 2 hours of TV to fill a week a loaded division would be more of a luxury than a necessity right now.

I know people seem down on Britt Baker right now but to me she looks and carries herself like a star. I was at the show and Rhio was over like crazy. Dont quote me on this but I think Meltzer reported that her title win has been one of the highest rated segments so far.

They have an in with the Blanchard family so Tessa would be a huge signing for them.

TL;DR I agree the division needs work but its early and the men's tag and singles stars can carry the show while they work on the female roster

yea it was like a rock concert when she came out.

but I found baker more impressive fir the match.

Interesting that Liar McLiarpants here ^^^ doesn't need it to be Friday to stay up and watch a wrestling show. Very interesting indeed.

Great episode again tonight. Loved utilizing the time limit finish, something WWE has essentially forgotten about

I think WWE eliminated time limits completely. It was JR's pet peeve on his old podcast so I wouldn't be surprised if he pushed to bring it back as a major part of AEW.

Really enjoyed the show tonight, particularly Cody and Jericho's segment. My only complaint is the 1st half of the show was a little wrestling heavy. I get they're trying to distinguish it from WWE but I'd like a bit more on the promo/vignette side.. as exciting as the matches are all the high spots might be too much of a good thing when they're 45 minutes straight

The more I watch the "Private Party " the more I like them. They remind me much of a modern version "the rockers".

Funny. Because PP gets compared to a young version of the Young Bucks who got compared to a young version of The Rockers

If you prefer AEW that’s cool. Four weeks in we have had three screwy finishes and a draw in their main events. I will take NXT.

PP vs. Lucha Bros was a fantastic match. My biggest complaint about that match was there were too many "breaks" where they really just walked around the ring doing nothing while people were on the ground. But man, so much great action when they were mixing it up.

Another good episode. Really like AEW so far.

Also, I hope they've signed Shanna and Shida full time because that was by far the best women's match the company has had.

Another great episode of AEW. Also a lot of whispers about a possible NJPW partnership. It makes this cryptic tweet even more interesting..

shida very impressive. Quite the talent. Much better than Becky.

shanna and Britt baker in a bra and match would not be the worst thing....

I don’t know if that was a botched finished, but Phoenix had to go out of his way to not break up that small package.

Well coming from you, Liar McLiarpants, it's clear you think that Becky is far and away a better talent than Shida

What a coup for AEW if they can get a partnership with NJPW, those cats over in there in Japan can fucking wrestle.
