That sucks.

They haven't scheduled a NYC area show yet. That makes me think they'll be back in the northeast soon. It wouldn't shock me if they do one in Connecticut next time.

The two ideal arenas they can run here in CT is Mohegan Sun Arena and the Arena at Harbor Yard (Webster Bank Arena) in Bridgeport.

FYI: They ran TakeOver XXV in Bridgeport back in June.

The final match followed by the post-match segment involved a dozen wrestlers and a dozen storylines...

Good stuff

I thought that this show was much better than the debut last week.

More focused because they can actually start getting into their stories. Last week had more of that big "we did it, here we are" type feel to it.

All the matches were solid tonight and that Jericho promo was fire. He's still got it. Maybe slower in ring but he can absolutely melt a mic

I also think because the crowd was hot all night, that atmosphere made everything even better. I thought that the Young Bucks and Private Party match was fantastic. That was a good coming out party and TYB were probably the best opponents for making them look good.

The best part of Jerichos promo was the "We the people" line. Very good chance that stops fans from hijacking Hager segments in the future.

The only problem I had with the show was the opening match where one of the members of Private Party was able to escape the second Texas Cloverleaf he was put in. Especially after taking a powerbomb on the steel ramp and getting his back worked over afterwards. I get that there's no realism in today's wrestling, but that stretched the lines of credulity, IMO.

Typical Jericho. :tsk:

Hager has done the "We the People" catchphrase in Bellator. At least once.

I guess Ol' boo boo faced Jericho didn't know that. Or he did and hopes his "fans" didn't know he did.

The crowd is at least 50 percent of a wrestling show. A hot crowd changes everything.

I'm convinced that the intensity to last night's crowd (for which I couldn't go to :mad2:) was designed to be a big "fuck you" to the WWE for the HIAC finish Sunday. How much of said intensity is up for debate.

I liked Private Party. There a electrifying team.

They remind me of Street Profits.

They still seem to have Production issues. Case in point Xcaliber call for a replay and then oops, there is none.

I'm 99% certain that's this weeks crowd. Last week they ran the Capitals/Wizards arena, which has multiple levels. Agganis Arena only has one level.

AEW's women's division is really bad. Even their best, Riho (who a lot of the internet loves), is average at best. They need to start throwing cash around the second any woman wrestler from WWE or Impact gets close to free agency

PAC is the only person in AEW that thinks referees will enforce rules. That’s kind of precious.

Brandi made the female division a point of emphasis in their press conferences but with only 2 hours of TV to fill a week a loaded division would be more of a luxury than a necessity right now.

I know people seem down on Britt Baker right now but to me she looks and carries herself like a star. I was at the show and Rhio was over like crazy. Dont quote me on this but I think Meltzer reported that her title win has been one of the highest rated segments so far.

They have an in with the Blanchard family so Tessa would be a huge signing for them.

TL;DR I agree the division needs work but its early and the men's tag and singles stars can carry the show while they work on the female roster
