I wonder what the success rate of these money saving contracts given to players under team control is. The Phillies have this guy Scott Kingery that made 6.5 mil. this year and 8.5 next year and I'm pretty sure he never played in the majors this season. Then the year after that they get to give him a million to buy out of the rest of it.
