...and what he said had teeth.
This is going to make waves.

Something tells me if we're going to have a hate-off between Shanny and Haynesworth, Haynesworth is going to win hands down*.
*By win, I mean folks will hate Haynesworth more than Shanny.

I expected nothing but bile from him, but he was surprisingly credible and made a case that Shanahan selfishly wanted him to fail. I'd like to see a transcript of the interview.
When Albert spoke, he always spoke well. At least I thought he did. But his play on the field in Washington kind of speaks for itself, no matter what Shanahan told him. He acted lazy and disinterested. It is quite possible that he was misused, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't try when on the field, and I think that's what most of us Redskins fans feel he did: not try.

Albert took the money and ran; we all know that. But he's basically accusing Shanahan of sabotaging him.
I get that, and I can see how he would think that. My personal belief in the Haynesworth vs. Shanahan situation is that Shanny asked Albert to do something he had never done and did not feel comfortable doing. That doesn't mean that Shanny was sabotaging him, just taking him out of his comfort zone. I can see Albert as taking that as "sabotaging" him. I would say "misused".
But, I can't completely dismiss the idea of Shanny sabotaging him, either, so maybe Haynesworth is right. Lord knows he's a passive-aggressive SOB.
By no means do I think Shanny is the good guy in most of these situations with the 'Skins. Just in this one case, he is the less-hated, that's all.
To me, the idea of a head coach intentionally sabotaging one of his players is a total Logic Fail.
Coach sabotages players. Players as a result fail on the field. Team as a result loses games. Coach as a result gets fired.
Why would a coach intentionally do something that will eventually land him in the unemployment line?
Logic Fail.
So this thread is about establishing that Albert Haynesworth is a bum, a fact that his own mother probably admits. Oh well...
