I expected nothing but bile from him, but he was surprisingly credible and made a case that Shanahan selfishly wanted him to fail. I'd like to see a transcript of the interview.

Shanahan was long known to grind up and undermine his players who had the slightest disagreement with him, or if he didn't like them.

Exhibit A is the mishandling of RGIII post obvious injuries.

Fat Albert is right.

And Shanny wanted him to be that clog in the 3-4 so the LBs make the plays. Fat Albert wanted no part of the Nose Tackle position. And took the 30 million dollar bonus under false pretense.

The guy was a BUM!!
I wonder why Snyder overpaid for him.

There is a big difference in doing something you dont feel comfortable doing, and flat out refusing to do it correctly because you didnt want to do it that way in the first place. Albert didnt want to be an NT. He surely didnt want to be a space eater. As such he played the position as one would expect of some one who didnt want to play the position.

Its trendy right now to blame Shanahan for all that went wrong in DC. Eventually the truth will come out, but I find it odd that with all the bash Mike talk out there, Mike and Kyle are the only ones who have stayed silent and avoided the whole thing.

Oh, I agree with what you are saying, I hope I made that clear in my earlier post. I was just saying that I can see how Albert can get to the point of thinking he was sabotaged. It's a bit delusional, but I can see how he got from A to B, that's all.

I also agree with what you say about Shanny. I don't think they're innocent saints in the stuff with RG3 that people bash him for, I don't think they are the only guilty parties. The only way the whole truth will come out soon about that situation is for Robert to struggle and for folks to dig deeper to find out the truth. If he does great, Shanny gets blamed, whether deserved or not, and we all just move on...lol, to be honest, I'm rooting for the latter.

To me, the idea of a head coach intentionally sabotaging one of his players is a total Logic Fail.

Coach sabotages players. Players as a result fail on the field. Team as a result loses games. Coach as a result gets fired.

Why would a coach intentionally do something that will eventually land him in the unemployment line?

Logic Fail.

Perhaps coach wanted nothing to do with the team and wanted to fail.

Shanahan took an all pro 4-3 DT and asked him to be a 3-4 NT...the guy balked at it and acted out like a kid...both were wrong imo.

That would be like PIT giving Suh $100 mil contract and asking him to play a 3-4 NT...he'd probably tell them to shove it were the sun don't shine too.

That isn't the job of a NT.

absolutely right. By definition, a NT DOES take up blockers, double-teamed every play just about. And definitely not looking for sacks. Get one, then celebrate, but because it's not going to happen very often.

Guess my question is, when he was tearing it up in Tenn., what position was he playing, 5 technique? Or was he always a NT?

"Fat Albert had no right taking that money Dan Snyder was dumb enough to hand him!"

The roster bonus he took saying he would play the 3-4 was what got me. The 100 million dollar was crazy to be sure. But after Shanny became Coach, Albert proved what a POS he was.

Little Danny was the King of off season signings. Has beens and head cases his specialty.

Agree. That is why in spite of whatever we may think of Shanahan one of the major things he did was keep Snyder out of personnel decisions & these type of signings. This appears to be the case to this day (some may argue otherwise but they have no proof). Can't guarantee this will remain this way, but I truly believe that Snyder now recognizes that he is not a personnel type guy (something that is completely lost on Jerry Jones).

So this thread is about establishing that Albert Haynesworth is a bum, a fact that his own mother probably admits. Oh well...

What exactly is your point? Both of these guys are now out of the league & certainly will be nowhere near Redskins Park probably ever. I don't give a crap about either one of them. Why keep digging up old history?

Fine - you win & I assume that your major agenda is to somehow be right about something. BTW - did Fat Albert also blame Shanahan for the numerous off-field incidents during his time in DC & for the fact that he is/was a total drunk?

Yep - pretty lame. If I sign on to clean toilets for a large sum of money then that is exactly what I will do. I can always try to diplomatically resolve this at the same time. Did Fat Albert conveniently also forget about bragging to teammates how he was going to fleece the Skins out of more money (as per the story from Cooley last year)?

Have another drink Albert. Please go hang out with your other moronic buddies like Vince Young, Lindale White and Pacman Jones.

What's up SoCal....
It's not lost on jerry. jerry actually thinks of himself as a "football guy". That's why it's jerry tell we part and I hope he goes first. If they ever win something again, it will be in spite of jerry....which isn't likely

No question Shanahan set the terms with Dan and it helped Washington in a big way...and it would be a great thing IF he continues to stay in the back seat on personnel decisions. I always thought before Shanahan that Dan's biggest problem was trying to stay up with jerry.

But is it a wrong take given Fat ALberts actions in DC? We can only judge a man on his actions. He proved unworthy. For that matter so did Shanahan in many ways his last year with us. A grave disappointment for the skins faithful.
