Clearly, they haven't gotten a good enough look at Tyler Wade yet.
I was surprised to see he's "only" been up since 2017... it feels like Wade's been up for like a decade. But yeah, he has a 54 OPS+ spanning 410 PA and has had an OPS+ above 80 once (85). I'm all for superutility players, but what good is that if you're an automatic out?
EDIT: I just realized my phone autocorrected Hoy to Hot. Heh. But he only got one plate appearance and he hit .325/.475/.541 in AAA. It's not like he was too old for that level or repeating it either, he's 25.
