@Pure Steel @nynasty if the yankees are still within striking distance of the East and/or WC after the upcoming 7 game road trip in Boston and Tampa then it is their time to make a move. This is their schedule the following 2 weeks

3 in Miami
3 vs Baltimore
4 vs Seattle
3 in KC

That is a 13 game stretch where they should set 9-4 as their bare minimum record

Got to get through (and make some ground up on) Boston and Tampa first, but yeah, that sets up really well for them to make a run. I'll be in the house in Miami next weekend. Wonder if it will still be the Scranton All stars or if they'll make some serious moves by then.

if that's the case, I do feel bad for him. Still doesn't make it right but I'd imagine most fans in his shoes probably cave to the peer pressure. The whole tradition of throwing balls back on the field is stupid anyway. Just keep the ball or give it to a nearby kid. A baseball's one of the best souvenirs you can possibly get at a game.
I agree 100%. The guy probably fell to peer presser. But in all seriousness a grown man shouldn’t feel to feel pressure. In the end like you said he should of gave it to a kid or just kept it himself

I agree this is a huge stretch of there schedule. They need to take advantage to the Phillies at home the next 2 nights cuz after that it could get ugly and they don’t have much wiggle room

They need to grind it out and stay focused on what looks like the WC at this point......need to go 3-4 or 4-3 in those next 7 games vs Boston & Tampa....

DJ LeMahieu was scratched from the Yankees' starting lineup on Tuesday due to a stomach bug.

LeMahieu has tested negative for COVID-19, so hopefully this is just a minor illness. Consider him day-to-day for now. Rob Brantly is in at first base and batting sixth against Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola, with Brett Gardner now taking a turn at leadoff.

Still don't put Chapman in a 1 or 2 run game

Sooner or later he has to get back on the horse....he is still their closer....still bringing it 100 mph.....shocked McCutch turned on that fastball.....

The New Kids on the Block looking ok so far......they can actually run, hustle and look like they give a shit...

Agreed. Enjoying these guys, while it lasts.

Florial has some holes in his game to be sure, but damn there's a lot to like there.
