They are in the easy stretch if their schedule and lose 4 of 6 to the rockies & cubs.

Cole pitches a gem and the bullpen fucked them over 2x

This is the new low point of the season

Boone trying to steal outs with Ramirez instead of going with King was just incredibly bad managing

Is 35 losses (BALTIMORE ) more or less than the 36 losses (TAMPA) has accumulated??

I know Baltimore has the tiebreaker by beating Tampa head to head which cannot be debated.

But, apparently the Rays are still considered the gold standard by most talking heads on TV all year long by virtue of WINS alone it seems.

Aint the Beer Cold...

Actually the gold standard would be the Braves right now. They’ve been exceptional.

Casas starting to break out. 3 straight games with a HR. Really good numbers since June 1st and a .767 OPS & 108 wRc+ overall despite a BRUTAL first month. Still only 23 years old.

Cheap production from Casas and Duran is a huge bonus. Yoshida looking like he’s worth every penny, too.

12 walkoff losses since the start of last season. The most in baseball.

Inventing new ways to lose to terrible teams.

But Hal Steinbrenner doesn't understand why the fanbase is not happy.

Hitting .273/.356/.492 since the beginning of May. .283/.367/.531 going back to the beginning of June.

He's homered in each of his last three games too. Not too worried about his bat going forward... glove is another story, though.

Amazing they still won’t let a pitcher throw more then 100 pitches …

Plan, God laughs

BK owes us an apology for calling him “Best manager in baseball” last season……

The Yankees have allowed starters to throw 100+ pitches 13 times, which is 2 fewer than the league average. They've allowed starters to throw 80+ 58 times, which is the league average. It isn't just the Yankees, it's a good chunk of the league.

Yep. The season is so long. You have to manage your arms. Last season the Phil’s used Wheeler and Nola to go deep in a ton of ball games letting them stretch to 100-110 in numerous outings. Nola’s arm was dead by the NLCS. Wheeler’s arm was dead going into the WS. This year, neither guy has been the same and it’s because they worked so many innings last season coupled by a shorter off season of recovery time. The Phil’s even gave them a light spring training and essentially used April games for their personal spring training and neither guy has really found a stride this year.

Trade Duval...

Trade Turner?

Bobby Dalbec in Worchester: .306/.419/.655 - 22 HR - 50 RBI

Justin Turner: .291/.362/.474 - 14 HR - 56 RBI - $8.3m

(JD Martinez: .258/.305/.569 - 23 HR - 63 RBI - $10m)

i dont know if the yankees should pack it up or not, but they arent going to win anything in the playoffs should they make it, with the way their lineup is currently constructed.
I agree 100%. Might as well build up the farm

I just don't see Dalbec getting significant playing time unless he either DHs of one of Casas/Devers get hurt. I think he'd be better off going somewhere else and playing 3rd.

I'm big on using the minor leaguers... I mentioned him, in case "another" playoff team needs a veteran DH - they could trade Turner.

This would open up the DH spot - in which Dalbec/Casas/Devers/Masataka could share.

I just hope Dalbec is not another AAAA player...
