This is exactly how it works. You weren’t about to plan a trip to Oakland to see the Yankees. But you WILL plan to go to Vegas to see the Yankees. So will a zillion other people.

LOL you might have a point, but everyone doesn't feel the same way about baseball as I do. Yankee fans travel, Red Sox fans travel, but do other fanbases really? I'm not so sure.

They got the Giants, then the Jets, then F1 on the Strip on 3 consecutive weeks.

When does the NHL sked come out? Next month I think?
Yeah, I think the schedule comes out in July

For Yankee fans it might be cheaper to fly to Vegas, get a hotel room and see a game there than pay for decent tickets at the Stadium

That is, until you lose your shirt at the craps table.

This is a great point, but I think it can apply to a lot of teams. Suddenly, Royals fans have an excuse to go to Vegas for some games, too.

Also, the A’s won’t always be this bad. If they can be more competitive in a few years when they arrive, they might capture some local interest the way the hockey team did.

22-year-old rookie with little experience above AA struggles at MLB level. in other news, water is wet
I just dont think he should be in the lineup everyday at this point. Wouldn't mind Peraza getting a look.

you just said he sucks two pages ago

lmao
I dont think any player hitting under .200 deserves to be in the lineup everyday. Still wouldn't send him down as i think it would hurt his confidence more than sitting him 2x per week

Welp Sale is probably done. The Stephen Strasburg of the AL.
Weird. You mention Strasburg and it occurs to me that I hadn’t heard his name in forever. Then I see this today:

Washington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburghas "severe nerve damage," leading to doubts he will ever pitch again, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

Strasburg, 34, was shut down more than a month ago, unable to take part in any rehabilitation, per the report. He had surgery to treat thoracic outlet syndrome and hasn't pitched in a game since last June.

What a shame, if this is the case. Also, his contract would be near the top of the worst ever list with Chris Davis, Miguel Cabrera, Jacoby Ellsbury and others….
