I know we discussed this phenomenon a couple months ago, but Hicks was just a dead man walking in NYC. I can’t recall the last Yankees player that was so universally hated by Yankees fans(maybe Joey Gallo but he was only there for a few months). A fresh start is probably exactly what he needed.
