Not saying much. Neither look like they belong in the majors. Unfortunately, the AAA options aren't looking much better right now. Mata's on the IL right now and he's struggled in AAA, Walter's struggled big time since getting promoted to AAA last year, they called up Murphy a few days ago but used him in the bullpen (and he's struggled in AAA). Drohan just got promoted to AAA a few weeks ago and he hasn't been great.

It's sad. He was competent in 2021-22, but he just looks toast. Sad injuries derailed what was an amazing pitcher from 2014-18.

The fauci stuff goes too far. The Ye thing, too. He has a bit of a conspiracy nut side.
That said, saying unrepentant homosexuals won't go to heaven isn't controversial - he's a Christian and that is exactly what the bible teaches.
As far as the drag queen stuff - again, he's right. Same for the fact that there are only two genders. The tweet about a parent spanking their child is a direct bible quote.
So basically, a Christian believing what the bible actually teaches. Oh noes.

Every Muslim believes the same, BTW. There are just no Muslims in MLB. Several Muslim Countries still throw gays off rooftops. That takes the fun out of Pride Month REAL fast.

Thing is, if a prominent Muslim athlete were to speak out against homosexuality, transgenderism, and drag queens from a religious POV it either wouldn't be reported, or if it was, it wouldn't be met with nearly the same outrage as Dermody is facing.

it's not so much his opinions that were a shitshow as much as it was the way the Sox handled it IMO. It feels very superficial and they probably don't DFA him if there wasn't that kind of backlash around him.
