Sox are going no where, but I've really enjoyed these last few weeks.

If it brings misery to NY I'm on board.

Of course I still see Yanks with a real great shot at bringing home that trophy.

Somehow they are 2nd choice to win the WS behind the Dodgers, Astros would be my choice right now, but thankfully the Yankees have a 10 game cushion to straighten out the Titanic that Captain Boone is guiding…..

To me, the Yanks have all the makings of a second round playoff loss team: they’ll trot out Cole and can obviously mash, but they have flaws that have been exposed, and will be exploited when facing an equally talentd team’s 1-2 pichers multiple times.

On the other hand, I’m just thrilled that my team isnt a punchline at this point in this season, so what the hell do I know?

A month ago it looked like it was the Yankees as the clear WS favorite, they hit a slump and the Didgers are cooking with fire. Slumps happen, then you break out of it and press on. The Yanks are a much better team than what we've seen these last few weeks so they still are serious contenders. It's better to slump now than late September.

I'd say goodluck to the Yanks and thier fans, but it would be a bold faces lie.

Good Luck Yankees

Gunnar Henderson was rated as BA's #1 prospect in their midseason rankings. He's hitting .293/.400/.525 with 10 homers in 52 games since getting promoted to AAA.

Can you cut and paste? I'm not subscribing for one story.

Nevermind, here's a free one.

A little over a month ago Michael King was the best set up man in the league and he's out for a season. At that time Holmes had an era under 1 and since has been horrible. Since then Giancarlo has been out and God knows when he'll be back. I fear the team we're watching now is closer to the team we'll see in the playoffs than the one we say up until July 4th.

So glad we traded a rotation mainstay for a CF on the DL, and continue to trot the corpse of Aaron HIcks out there every night.
There is simply no way to look at that trade makes any sense. Since going to the Cards Monty has 2 starts against the Brewers and Yanks. 11 innings, 6 hits, 3 walks, 9 K's....0 earned runs.

Wait until the playoffs when good pitching will simply pitch around Judge and concentrate on the lineup filled with many holes.....I'm surprised that he's seen any good pitches the last 3 weeks or more......

Not much of a difference at the moment. I think the Yanks should just pull a fan out of the stands to hit when there's runners in scoring position unless Judge is up. Can't do any worse.

I can't imagine why anyone would throw Judge a strike right now.

Monty must have screwed Boone's wife, no explanation for why he was traded......

If you look at the lack of run support Monty got it would seem he was sleeping with the entire team's wives

Just came across this little nugget:

Aaron Hicks has a -2.91 WPA (Win Probability Added) this season. That’s the worst from any position player in the majors this season.

They're already starting to pitch around him, and you're right. Surprised it took this long.

All jokes aside, Boone wanted him gone for whatever reason. They're trotting out the "he didn't fit in post-season plan" bullshit, but that's clearly a crock of shit

A healthy Stanton fixes a lot of these issues, but who knows when he’s coming back. But the Yankees have the same issues as they have in previous years: Good pitching shuts them down in the postseason unless they are hitting homers.

Rizzo is hitting .221. Stanton is hitting .228. Donaldson is hitting .222. These are middle of the order bats, too.
