Raise your hand if you had the ORIOLES with 40 wins before the all star break!

40 million dollar payroll (dead last in MLB) in a division with 3 teams over 200 million

This is a minor miracle by Brandon Hyde in Baltimore.

I've been keeping an eye on them as I used to go down there for games quite a bit. Love that stadium. Only 4 games under 500 and they're in the toughest division in the sport where all the other teams are under 500.

Yanks bullpen continues to amaze. Another 3 hitless innings last night and only one walk. Peralta 4 outs in 12 pitches and Holmes wraps up the ninth in 10 pitches.

In '98 the Yankees went 11-1 against the Tampa Bay expansion team on their way to 114 regular season wins. No such gimmes in the division this year.

And I agree 100% on Camden yards. Such a great ballpark.

I would’ve figured around maybe 30-35 at the most. They’re definitely a lot more competitive than I imagined they’d be. I still hope that they’re sellers this year at the deadline as I don’t think they have a shot at the wild card. The next couple of seasons after this one will be more fun to watch I believe with a lot more of the guys from Norfolk and Bowie will likely be coming up.
Side note, I really hope they promote Heston Kjerstad to Aberdeen soon as he’s been ready for a promotion.

I don't get to watch the O's too often. In your opinion has making the ball park bigger helped the team?

Despite Cole not looking great last night I'll take the win in any road game where Judge and Rizzo are riding the bench. Let's hope Nestor does a better job tonight than Cole did yesterday.

I think its helped the pitchers quite a bit. OPACY was definitely a hitters haven because of how the balls sailed out of there. And since our pitching still needs a lot of work, I think if the walls were where they used to be, the record probably drops by a few wins. I’m wondering if when the O’s become more active players in free agency if this might help them get better pitchers since it’s always been hard to lure the good ones here (not that Angelos would’ve forked out money to the good ones to start with).

Hopefully they continue to be competitive (Not against the Yanks but...), build a nice core of young players and then spend a few more bucks to entice some free agents. How has the attendance been? Any uptick with them playing solid at home?
