That was the same game Brett hit 3 HR, wasn't it?

Loudest I've ever been in attendance for was Mattingly's HR in game 2 of the 95 ALDS. Upper deck at the old place, and it honestly felt like it was going to collapse.

Yup, 3 off Catfish

I’ll take Bruce as a lefty alternative to Voight over Mike Ford

Meanwhile, the Red Sox have the most young talent in camp than they have had in years. Duran and Downs look like they should be able to help this year. Verdugo and Devers are still only 24! Houck will be good if he can throw more strikes. Dalbec looks like he might hit 30+ HR’s(while leading the league. Chavis having a big Spring(though I’m less of a believer in him). They are building something good there. It’s coming.

Chavis stinks

Devers is a superstar

think Verdugo will be a nice player but the superstar predictions a little overblown

Yeah. You are right on Chavis. He came up and set the world on fire for 20 games and has stunk ever since. I don’t have much confidence in him.

Verdugo I haven’t seen a ton of, but looked very impressive when I did watch. Very good hitter. Not trying to hit a homer every time up. He could be a 25-30HR guy with a high OBP. If so, that will work.

Downs and Duran are the 2 interesting guys in the minors. Both have speed and power and athleticism that is rare for the Sox. I think this Red Sox team will be greatly improved from last year. The Yankees beat them 9 times in 10 games last year?? It won’t be quite so easy this time around.

Baseball's better when they're both good, but there's no team I hate losing to more. In baseball anyway.

Jordan Montgomery this spring:

10 IP 4H 3BB 1ER 9K

Looks like the rotation is set, anyway.

I love the rotation, I’m prob crazy, but I like the idea of 6-7 capable starters, even if only one is truly elite right now

Besides Cole, German and Montgomery needs to give them innings, I doubt Kluber or Taillon are even allowed to see a 7th inning this year. Garcia another whose innings they will need to watch

You can never have enough depth. I like what the Yankees have done. It's pretty akin to the Dodgers/Padres.

That’s how you need to do it these days. Especially with almost everyone on that staff barely pitching over the last couple years. Booney is definitely going to earn his money managing all those innings and mixing and matching all the pieces.

Nobody is on the same level with the Dodgers, though. They are in their own league right now.

agreed. While I do question the durability of the Yankees staff, I don't think it matters too much if you have a lot of arms. I like that rotation more than the other four in the division.

Indeed. I can't say I really hate any of the Yankees players right now but I'm deep in Yankee territory. Other teams I hate losing to are the Habs/Pens, Cowboys (I'm an Eagles fan), and Ohio State in CFB (which is pretty much every year since 2001). I do geniunely hate the Rays.

NHL Islanders

NFL Eagles

And back when I cared about the NBA, man I hated myself some Indiana Pacers.
Wow. I had no idea. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you voice interest in any other sports before.
