Garrett Richards maybe starting to find it a bit: 4IP, 1H, 0ER, 3BB, 7K’s today. Still needs to work on those walks, but that is quite an improvement.

Had a feeling he'd figure it out.

I don't know why I had it in my head that he was tough on the Yankees career-wise, Turns out he's never beat them, and carries a 8.42 ERA lifetime.

He had a pretty good case for 2008 AL MVP, even with the Orioles mediocrity IMO. unfortunately he didn't even appear on any ballots. It's a shame he was never really able to keep hitting like he did in 2007-08. Damn good player
I always thought that he was a good 2 hitter. Putting him in the power slots in the lineup was always a bad idea in my opinion as he never really got more than 20. But during those really awful seasons before we got decent for a few years, we really didn't have much else other than maybe Jones and Roberts to anchor the lineup.

Roberts was a very exciting player to watch. Could get on base at a good clip, hit a lot of doubles and triples while running into the occasional home run, and stole a lot of bases. Mora had a great career for someone who didn't get significant playing time until he was 28. Most of Aubrey Huff's career WAR came from four seasons, and sure enough 2008 was one of them (137 OPS+, 48 doubles, 32 home runs, 108 RBI)

Probably only matters to Yankee fans, but Kay and Sterling are going to team up for the YES network broadcast of today's game. First time they've called a game together since game 7 of the 2001 World Series.

“I’m very excited about it,” Sterling said. “First of all, I do everything by the seat of my pants, so we’re just going to wing it"

No shit, John? I'd have never guessed.

:D

He just has to cut down on his “hit by pitcher” in his personal life.....

I know he won 18 games a few years ago, but I always saw him as lucky/product of his offense.

This spring he's looked better than I ever remember him looking. That curve is filthy.

Always liked his stuff, ability is there, just needs to dodge that one bad inning that seems to have plagued him during his career.....

Hard to cheer for, but i thought he had the best chance at emerging as a true #2 before the spring, the stuff is legit

on a side note, Nick Nelson is the new Tommy Kahle

additional side note, they have some LH reliever that no one can hit, and has a great chance at making the roster

He WAS lucky when he went 18-4. His ERA was over 4.00 that year.

Career ERA is 4.52 with an ERA+ of 97. He’ll be 29 this Summer. Hard to expect him to sneak up on a lot of people at this point. He can still win a lot of games with that offense on his side, though.

His ERA was over 4, and his BABIP was .250 against his career # of about .300. So yeah, the stars aligned for him a bit in 2019.

But he didn't look anywhere near as good as he's looked so far this spring. Time will tell, but it looks like they've at least got one part of the back half of the rotation figured out.

Lucas Luetge

Pretty mediocre in the bigs from 2012-2015. Not sure where he's been since then, but yes, reading he's been lights out.

Both have looked good, results wise. I've gotta say, I hate Taillon's delivery. He looks like he's short-arming everything and I wonder how long he can keep it up.

Really curious how many starts they're gonna get out of them combined, and what either of them will have left for October.
