Boy, when Sanchez hits 'em, he really hits 'em.

Don't think I've ever seen anyone go OVER the batter's eye in Tampa before.

28 first pitch inning for Cole, him and Sanchez just don’t work

they should just make Higgy his personal catcher and be done with it, they don’t need to try to force this thing to work with their ace

And Sanchez won’t catch Cole all year, so you wonder what Booney is trying to accomplish there anyway.

Agreed. and when/ if Sanchez goes 0 for April we'll just be right back here again anyway.

But damn that dude can flat murder a baseball. Too bad he can't do it with any consistency.

I like Tauchman. He always seems to have big games against the Sox. Too bad he’s the 8th outfielder at the moment. Would he have to pass through waivers to get sent down? I bet there are a bunch of teams that would take a shot on him.

Good defensively, can run and has a little pop.

But he goes weeks without getting a hit.

It’s ALL he can do now though. I swear when he came up he could hit a little. We know he can’t draw a walk, either. It’s just homer or strikeout for him now.

Some analyst a few years back declared him the best pure hitter on the team.

Can't remember who it was exactly, but he was pretty off on that.

He’s just a mistake pitch hitter......When he connects he’s Kingman-like.....

No doubt. And the book on him is in its 3rd edition. Weak outside breaking stuff is his kryptonite. Everyone knows it, so they keep throwing it to him, and he keeps flailing at it.

Sigh.

Tampa ticket message:

Single game tickets will go on sale closer to Opening Day.

I'd say we're getting pretty fucking close. You think a team that has to trade everyone before they get expensive would be interested in money, but apparently not.

Yesterday is a perfect example of why he will run into 30 HRs, while batting .200 of course

there is so much crap pitching in the AL now, especially the AL East, so he will still murder those many mistakes

I like Gardy but this is why I thought they would move on. Tauchman is perfectly suited as the 4th OF, excellent defender, great legs, and a lefty bat. He disappointed last season, but as a 4th guy, he will provide some spark from time to time

Agreed 100%. But it makes you wonder why he can’t hit .250. Can he ONLY hit a HR off bad pitching? How about a nice single up the middle every now and then? I feel like the coaching has failed this guy at some point. Such a strange case.

So can he go back to the minors? Or does he have to clear waivers??
