@nynasty What’s the word on Garrett Whitlock? The Sox got him from the Yankees as a rule 5 guy. Those seldom pan out, but they seem to really like him. Good chance he sticks.

Yanks have a TON of righties who project as relievers in their minor leagues. Was inevitable they'd lose someone with decent upside. I actually haven't heard much about him since he had TJ surgery. He's got to stick all year though-and he's only logged about 70 innings above high A.

I'll be surprised if he's still there in September.

Something has to be up with Stanton, how is he not ready to go being off 4 months and was actually healthy during the playoffs? Unreal.....did he get hurt sleeping?

He's allegedly going to be in the lineup tonight.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Something stinks.

The New York Yankees today announced that Manager Aaron Boone is taking an immediate medical leave of absence to receive a pacemaker. Surgery is expected to be performed later today at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.

Wow. He's only 47.

Sadly, I think we'll start hearing more stories like this from players from the steroid era.

Game wasn't available to watch where I am, but it looks like Stanton actually got a few ABs. K'ed both times, but I'm just happy he appears to be healthy-for the moment.

Sanchez crushed another one.

Gotta love Spring training fastballs. Unfortunately, he won't get too many of those starting next month.

Looking for to his 1-16 with 8 or 9ks start 4 games in

Pedro: Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.
Eddie: You know you might think about taking Jesus Christ as your savior instead of fooling around with all this stuff.
Roger: Shit, Harris! [leaves]
Pedro: Ah, Jesus [pronounced hey-SOOS], I like him very much, but he no help with curveball.
Eddie: You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?
Jake: Let's not start a holy war now.
