Thursday's game between the Red Sox and Yankees has been postponed due to weather.
With thunderstorms in the forecast, the division rivals will head home and reconvene tomorrow. J.A. Happ and Chris Sale were the scheduled starters for Thursday's opener. Presumably, both will be pushed back to Friday. Thursday's rainout will be made up on August 3 as part of a doubleheader.

Beating a dead horse. Until the stadium is actually in Tampa, baseball won't survive in the Tampa Bay area. The city of St. Petersburg is too stubborn to realize this and throws a fit any time the team explores moving to Tampa but yet they don't actually go to games. It's such a stupid situation with an easy fix. The team will leave Florida all together before we know it.
