I think most of the complaints about Farrell are overblown, but he does seem to be slow with his hook on starting pitchers more often than not.

Good thing is our estimated arrival time was 2019. If you asked me at the end of march if I would be happy with 44-40 after 84 games then i would be super excited. The great start spoiled us.

Yea it was an unexpected start. I'm still not sure if you guys are reverting back to the mean, or simply in a slump. We'll just have see.

First thing is we need to get healthy. I have to think if Holiday, Castro, and Hicks were healthy that we wouldn't be slumping this badly. But as you said we'll see. Doesn't help that Pineda stinks again and our pen basically all suck ass even chapman and betances.

Getting them back will help, but I'd still expect the offense to cool off a little. Fangraphs projects them to average 4.94 R/G over the rest of the season (versus the 5.58 R/G so far). That would still be one of the best in the AL.

Either way we need more from our pitching staff especially the bullpen. We dropped too many games in the last month after going to the pen.
