Blake Snell by a mile

It will be Sale cause the deep throating of Boston by voters is insane

Wouldn't say it is by a mile... But I do agree that it will be Snell...

it is between Snell and Kluber

Only problem I see with Snell is that he wont reach 200 innings this year and as of now he ONLY has 19 QS out of 30 starts...

while Kluber has 210 innings and 25 QS in 32 starts

and if Kluber ties Snell in wins then that may complicate things a little more...

BUT you know the voters top 2 things they look at is ERA and wins... and in both Snell has the lead... so I am sure to the voters this wont be close at all...

I'm torn between Verlander and Snell. I think Snell's numbers are better but Verlander's aren't much worse and he's done it over a significant amount of more innings. I think Snell has pitched enough to make up the difference still. But I don't really care about pitcher wins as a stat. When it's all said and done I'd vote Snell but I think it's close.

Only a tiger fan would have verlander first...

Not that he is a bad choice... But he is the clear 3 IMO...

What do you mean, "too?"

Innings basically identical to Kluber's, nearly 30% more Ks, ERA almost a quarter run better. The only think Kluber clearly leads is W/L record.

Mostly meant it as a joke...

I know your view about wins... Probably equal to my view about strike outs and the FIP(categories)...

I see Kluber and Verlander to be too similar to overlook the win/loss differential... Plus 20 wins is the milestone for a season in wins...

I'm a homer and all but it can't be Chris Sale. Doesn't have the wins or innings. Cora is saving him for the playoffs for the big prize.

Maybe an Astros fan too? Haha. I don't see anyone though that he is "clearly" behind. Like I said, I would put Snell ahead of him in a close race, but who else would be clearly ahead of him?

Definitely was an over-reaction in my post... Really just wanted attention...

But I have Kluber ahead of him too...

for the record

here is how I rank the stats for a SP

1. WHIP
2. ERA
3. IP
4. QS %
5. W
6. SO

but if a milestone is reached in any category it jumps to the top...

This won't factor in but I would as a voter

The fact that Tampa is gonna win 90 games is the best story of this season

If doug was around who do you think he'd vote for?

Although I don't completely agree with this, I am glad to see someone else rank wins far from the top for an individual pitcher. I don't think they're completely worthless by any means but when Sonny Gray has more wins than Jacob deGrom that is all you need to know that it's not the most important stat like a lot of people think, haha.

Well I still have wins high compared to other pitching stats... But, my real point, is when you reach a certain point, the stat becomes more important... Being a 20 game winner, I have wins as one of the main reasons he should be CY...
