Just saw the Twins sent down Oswaldo Arcia and Chris Parmalee. I am assuming they want them to get every day at-bats. Must mean Ryan Doumit will see some action in the outfield. With Hermann called up, they may play Joe Mauer less games at catcher. I think the infield is solidified in Morneau, Dozier, Florimon, and Plouffe. Sometimes I do wonder if management knows what they are doing?

No they don't have a clue. The "get more at bats thing" isn't an assumption it is the garbage that was spewed from their mouths. Complete bullshit. Arcia was getting every day at bats up here. He went on a horrible 0-18 skid and K'ed in 11/13 Ab's but instead of letting the future of the team figure it out(the guy can rake) they demote him and continue playing Clete goddamn Thomas. And we called up a 33 year old rookie, wow. Along with Colabello who may be raking in the minors but is 29 and there is a reason for that.

Article last Friday afternoon. "Twins ready to let Arcia work through troubles at plate". Went on and on about how hes working on things and they will let him figure it out. He k's 4 times that night(yeah that was bad). Sits the next two for clete who also cant hit the broad side of a barn...then demote him.

Let him work through for 1 game? Complete trash that they insult our intelligence like this. Gardy "up and down the lineup we know we got guys that can hit and it will happen eventually"

NO!! it won't with the clowns we are fielding. 3 catchers? 29 and 33 year old rookies?

Rant over. Fuck it.

Tigers get shut out..must be the jet lag..first game on the road and all.

Where is the love for Miggy??? he helped with the ASG not only with his bat..but with his glove. he flased the leather like brooks robinson did...

ooo and iffy.. I blame Leyland for this lose in KC. he should bench Avilas and never ever bring don Kelly to bat in the 9th when the team is behind..ever never.

Excuses and scapegoating, doug. Good team find ways to win the games like tonight's.

doug...hasn't anyone ever told you that excuses are like buttholes. Everybody has one and they all stink.

Twins help out the Tigers and beat the Tribe.

For reasons unknown, the Indians sent Mark Reynolds to the plate in the 9th, with two outs. Mark surprised no one with a nice fat K.

Ugh.... bad comparison.
I don't think so, it was still only the 4th season of a new park, even the second year at Comerica they only averaged 23,000 then in year three it fell to 18,000. Doesn't matter how bad the team is thats a huge drop from 30,000 in Comericas first year.

Comericas capacity is around 41,000 I believe, Target field is about 39,000. The fact even in Comericas first year they averaged around 11,000 empty seats a game is pretty weak.

Hey dougie, looks like I wasn't wrong about the Rays, I think you called me an idiot for thinking they had a chance this season, I still believe they win the East, if they pick up a bat by the deadline they are the team to beat in the AL IMO. .236 BAA is pretty good.

Orioles are really talented to if they can get some pitching. Rays and Os are both legit contenders.

Twins tried to do the Kitties a favor tonight and they get shut out by the Royals. Sorry Doug, no heart.

Asdrubal Cabrera looked like he was on drugs. Misplayed soft liner for first hit of game, then off of Chisenhall error, tries to save the day and allows tying run to get in scoring position. Error on Swisher at first base cost the winning run.. and pitching to Joe Mauer with first base open is error on manager. Lots of mistakes, Twins eek out a win. Meanwhile, Ervin Santana shuts out Tigers. Ouch. I agree with Rays assessment, if Price figures it out they will be near impossible to hit. Pittsburgh and Tampa have the best starters in baseball .. Detroit is close, but no. Gotta like Chris Archer and rejuventated Jeremy Hellickson.

Appears that Verlander doesn't have the heart. Appears to be on his way to an overpaid drain on the franchise.

More errors!!! Pathetic! You got us again MrHockey.

I think the Indians just can't win on te road against the Twins. They are 2-9 or something at the Twinkies ballpark.

:gaah:

yea no heart...oh wait..verlander has 10 wins this season.and one for sure win that valverde blew....

I guess when you are that good and you hit a stretch of just above average the haters come out. with IFFY leading the pack.

not hitting with RISP is the reason they lost.... if you knew about the game you would know that

Tigers lose no ground. cause they know the Tribe is the one tyhey don't have to fear..
makes sense.. no one pushing you...no worring about putting this thing out of sight.

I blame Leyland for that. why are all his teams worse in the second half???(2012 is a exception)????
maybe IFFY thinks Leyland is the greatest manager ever...but why does his team never put weaker teams..aka Cleveland in the dust????

HAHAHA oh dougie, 12 base runners in 5.2 innings isn't good no matter how much you love JV. 10 wins yes, also 7 loses. Also no comment about the Rays?
