captobvious.. I think you are still sour about losing Jhonny P. that hot dog at SS you have now is not the team player Jhonny is...

I would be worried if I was a buckeye fan. it must be obvious to you capt...that Urban Meyer is going to bring that program down.
you saw how he let Miami just recruit any player they could get. his handling of AAron Hernandez is a perfect example. no control. he let him run amok down there. iam sure they with top tatoogate down there this year.

Unfortunately Jhonny wasnt 'all that a half dozen hot dogs' when he played for us Doug. Hes dirty now. Wouldnt want him

This isnt a game with pre-1990s type players any more. Many of them are thugs. In view of everything thats come out recently Im pretty sure Urban realizes he'll be under a microscope & got to run a tight ship. As much as its possible to control what these clowns do off hours anyways. Im also pretty sure the University powers that be will make sure he does.

The difference between Urban Myer and a coach with ethics is simple... Myer will recruit any kid that has talent... if they can pass the tests... they will play... He has one of the worst track records for arrests in the nation. Guys like Chip Kelly, Urban Myer, Nick Saban, heck... even Rich Rodrigez... they do what they have to to win at all costs... they are scumbags you wouldn't want babysitting your kid... but thats the funny part is so many people trust their 18 yr old to them... Urban Myer is a piece of garbage and only a homer would not see that. He has no ethics... He is so slimy that he phoned in a recruiting violation on Florida that ended up not even being a violation... He is puke bro... and when the next big scandal hits OSU.. don't say I didn't tell you. It will happen sooner than you think... I am calling within the next 2 years... OSU will have another HUGE scandal on their hands.

Arguing i'm wrong kinda means you are arguing he will no? I mean being nobody his size ever has means its unlikely he will right? Unless you can show me someone that size ever has, discounting the steroid boys none of which were 5'11 275...

No.. its possible to argue that you are using your opinion and not facts to base your argument without arguing that Fielder will play late in his career. Do I believe he will... yes.. that is my opinion... and I am smart enough to know the difference between my opinion and something based in facts.. which you obviously do not.

Just bc he does what he can to win on the field, doesn''t mean he is a horrible person. These big time coaches will be the one to get caught wuth illegal recruiting and all that shit. But you know and everyone else does that 90% of the programs don't follow the rules, but them being bigtime coaches and programs they are more vulnerable to get caught. If you think everyone is clean, you are blind to nowadays.

Iltich is the 151st richest American at 2.7 billion. Carl Pohlad had 2.8 billion when he died. His sons inherited a greater fortune. Kudos to Detroit that they are willing to spend, but there are many owners with equal wealth in sports. And greater revenue. Detroit's problem is recession, declining population.. not sure these will get better soon. I agree with Nos, in a few years the Tigers are gonna look a lot different. And they traded away a lot of good talent to get what they have. Still, spending money tends to win in a league without a true cap (though there is a financial penalty).

Cecil Fielder, 6'3, 230 lbs played more than 110 games only once after turning 32. Boog Powell, 6'4, 230 lbs., had one season over 114 games in last five years after turning 31.. these are the two that come to mind in near body type.

Rolling... I know you are not as stupid as this post shows... first of all... The entire state of Michigan supports the Tigers team... I grew up 3.5 hours from Detroit.. and I went to games multiple times a year and spent tons on shirts and hats growing up... AND NEWS FLASH.. the state of Michigan is not just Detroit.. the rest of the state is not doing that bad.

Second... What talent did the tiger's trade away? The only person I would want back out of anyone traded is Jacob Turner... Please.. list one guy that was traded away in the last few seasons other than him that is having a decent career. Matt Joyce? He is like 30 already... Your post is getting weaker by the second...

Third... the Tigers owners wealth is spread so that it is not all included on Mike Illitch's name. The Motor City casino is under his wife's name.. and does not reflect on his net worth.. kind of like the whole John Kerry and Heinz heiress. The 2.7 billion only reflects the value of the red wings, tigers, little caesars, olympia entertainment, and the food distribution companies... I just taught you something new today...

Last but not least... The only reason the tigers did not spend pre 2005 was because Ilitch invested most of his sports related money into the red wings.. pre nhl salary cap.. after the salary cap in the NHL.. he took the 60-70 mil a year he couldnt spend in the NHL... and moved it to the tigers payroll... hence what you see now. The red wings and tigers are a business for the illitch family that allows them to not only sell their pizza at a large sports venue.. its marketing for little caesars... so basically.. the sports side is nothing more than marketing for their larger business ventures... Cry all you want.. the payroll aint coming down.

6'3'' 230 is close to 5'11'' 275? Bro.. do you have any idea how many large men play long into their careers.. Look up David Ortiz size... God you people.. its an opinion.. you don't think Fielder can play long.. awesome.. you have nothing to base it on other than your opinion.. which sadly is biased.

Are you gonna cry about it?! That is their opinion, they could be right could be wrong. Don't get your panties in a wad bc they are talking about a Tig player having a short career bc he isn't in shape. It could definitely shorten his career and be moved to the DH sooner but he does need to get healthier and lose some weight, that is a fact.

It bothers other teams fans in the AL Central so much that their owners will not compete with the Tigers as far as payroll... and they can't get it through their heads.. that no matter how much they want it to happen.. odds are that Fielder will be an above average hitter well into his mid to late 30s... as will Miggy. I agree the Tiger's farm needs work... but to be honest... its not as bad as you make it out to be because they have one of the strongest scouting departments in Venezula.. which has helped offset the lack of talent from the draft... Keep looking online for farm system rankings.. they are meaningless.. KC has been a top ranked farm for decades... what has that done for them? San Diego the same... You can keep your high farm system rankings.. I will enjoy a farm that kicks out role players along with an owner willing to spend for proven talent...

The terms bandwagon and homer sure are used a lot around here without the proper definition known to the user... Can you tell me again how I am a bandwagon fan? That would imply I only root for the Tigers when they are winning.. which.. even the idiots here can vouch for me is not the case... as I was on CBS talking with these morons for the last 7 years... even when the tigers were not winning the division regularly.. Now that we got that out of the way... Please define causing trouble.. because from what I can see.. Just about every poster here comes here to post their opinion.. some using more fact than others... many arguing their point... Its called sports talk.. if you don't like the fact that someone else has different opinions and can clearly state why they do.. don't post on sports talk sites... Nothing being posted here recently has had anything to do with anything else other than sports.. so once again I ask.. what is your definition of casueing trouble... because clearly if you read my posts.. I am here discussing my views on the sports being discussed... Carry on though.. calling people homers and bandwagon fans.. when you clearly have no idea what those terms mean.
