23-71? Thats crazy......in basketball or even football i could see that....but baseball? Where alot of things average out....playing series of 3-4 games.....you would think the twins would of won more.....especially since there were some good twins teams thrown in there. doug.....great game by Verlander. One or two more of similar quality, in his next few starts, would make me feel more secure, however.

As for 'W's being a team stat. I would think almost anyone would see that. Scherzer did not accomplish his 13 wins without his team's help. The idea of a 'W' being a team stat, and not so much a stat to judge a pitcher's effectiveness...has been accepted for some time now. It is the reason that most voters look more at a pitcher's ERA, K/BB ratio, BAA, and WHIP to select a CY winner.

have you looked at Maxs WHIP ? maybe when the voters LOOK at Scherzers stats they will see what you don't see IFFY.

Dick Mc is a nice guy. Had some good convos with him. Most of us go to talk the game & bs in general. Enjoy ourselves. No need to go on there trying to prove your the biggest baddest asshat on the planet. That shits for 12-15 yr olds. Those guys need to grow the fuck up

6 tigers in the all star game.....tigers continue dominance of the injuns....cant remember last time we lost to them. Sad to see that cy young guy masterson get out-pitched by detroits 5th starter. Happy with swisher yet? See he hit a HR in a game that was over early. Shouldve got some pitching instead. I think the injuns have to finally break this streak to the tigers tomorrow. They have to.....

At least the tigers coming to town got some fans in the crowd in cleveland. Seen alot of tiger fans tho......but next week it will be back to 13K for attendance.

If shields would of at least had a couple more wins, his numbers are around JV's, but its hard to take a pitcher with 3 wins even though thats not his fault he gets no support. I guess thats an advantage of going to the WS. you get to bring your guys. Id rather have JV at home, mad because he didnt make it. Verlanders year isnt that bad....were just used to JV being great all the time, minus the AS game and WS.
