Who's everyone's breakout performer for each team in the Central?

Mine for the Indians is Yan Gomes, he was clutch and times and is a young, power hitting talent at catcher.

absolutely great choice, Gomes could jump into top 10 mlb catcher status this year. Erik Johnson could be the biggest sleeper, not hearing much hype on him but he was quite dominate in the minors.

My homer pick would be Ventura.

My heart wants to say Castellanos. My head says he will struggle as a full-time 3B, and it will affect his hitting in 2014. Long-term, he'll still be a solid major leaguer.

This may be wishful thinking, but I look for Bruce Rondon to be the Tigers primary setup man for Nathan, and have a very productive season. After struggling early last year and being sent down in May, he had a 1.50 ERA in about 30 innings for Toledo. Then after being recalled in late June by the Tigers, his ERA was in the 2's the rest of the season. And he showed up to camp this season 30 pounds lighter. He has the potential to be a beast with that 100 mph fastball, decent slider and a developing change-up.

Im with you on Nicky C. Think it's going to be a bumpy road for him in the field, at the plate Im not counting on his minor league numbers to translate over this year. I see him being a vital piece down the road, but a bottom of the order guy this season. Lombardozzi and Davis are guys I see helping a lot in their roles this season. And I hope Davis' role expands as the season goes on. Im keeping a little faith that Crosby might fill some of the Smyly void in the bullpen. His wildness scares me though. Prolly his last chance this spring.

I would love to see Colon have a crushing spring on the offensive side.

huge bust, agree, almost as much as Crow and Hochevar..a UTL prospect is about the same as going from high end SP to Middle relief pitchers.
